Missing Public Folders

Postby ledoktre » Mon Mar 06, 2006 12:05 pm

Hello,

I have installed the community edition of scalix & Outlook 2003, and am now running into an issue I am not sure quite how to deal with.

It have elected my own user on scalix as an administrator, and created a public folder, lets say it is called "Brown Construction".

On this folder, I added my other users as Publishing Editors. Everything seems fine, they can see/edit/add to the folders I create.

I am noticing though, on one of my desktops, which is running Windows 2000, I cannot see anything under "Brown Construction", even when logged in as myself (administrator).

It seems, under Windows XP, it works fine. Any ideas?

On a slight side note, I also have had a litle trouble with shared calendars. For my Key Suite (Palm) sync software, they tell me I MUST add it as such (to be available for syncing) :

Tools > Email Accounts > View or Change Ezisting Email Accounts > Scalix Server > Change > Advanced, then add the mailboxes one at a time on this page.

This adds the user, and only the folders it has permission to, which is fine.

However, I have users complaining that sometimes all the calendars list under the calendar view, sometimes not... its quite odd. The users seem to always be able to go to the other users Mailbox, THEN calendar, but insist they would like to go to the Calendar button on Outlook 2003, and have them all listed there (and save the view).

Any thoughts??

Thanks,

Doc
