Email contents missing in MS Outlook

Running Server Version 11.4.1.11929, Scalix Connect version 11.4.1.7704 & Outlook 2003.

The email contents are disappear in one of the email in the Outlook's Sent Items but in the Scalix Webmail i can see the email contents.

The error message shows "This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. Open the item to read its contents." I open up the email but still couldn't see the contents.

I uninstall & reinstall the Scalix connector but still couldn't see the email contents. I also uninstall the Outlook 2003 & install Outlook 2007 but also fail to see the email contents.

Any help or ideas greatly appreciated.

I had users with similar issues with older versions like the one you are using. Haven't seen it happen in the last few 11.4.x releases...

It yet randomly happens to me even on Scalix 11.4.6

• Outlook claims the error on an message
• Webmail smoothly manages the message (open, move, delete, print, download attachments and so on ...)
• Same as Webmail when accessing via IMAP (Thunderbird or Outlook)

There are two types of workaraounds :

• Run an omscan against the sole mailbox containing the offending message with -fxe switches: if you're lucky you will see omscan reporting missing references are being deleted
• Do an export of the mailbox (sxmboxexp), empty it and eventually reimport (sxmboximp) the whole contents

In my very humble understanding of OLSC it should act as a MAPI emulator against an IMAP server: still do not know and can't understand why it has so many problems.
