I have been trialling Scalix (using the community edition) for three months and have discovered that it is not possible to sync with iPhone using iTunes if SC4O is installed.
When the sync is attempted it starts OK and the backup completes normally but as soon as the contacts sync begins a dialogue appears saying “Outlook Sync Client has stopped working” and gives a Problem Event Name of “BEX” in the application “com.apple.Outlook.client.exe”. The same problem occurs straight afterwards when iTunes tries to sync the calendars and again for the notes. There is no error produced when it sync media (music / movies). So it seems that an attempt to sync any of the items which are stored in Scalix and accessed via SC4O cause iTunes to crash and the sync to fail.
I have tried the following fixes with no success:
• Re-install Scalix Connect (problem reproducible 100% of the time)
• Try a different client (problem reproducible on two machines both W7/OL2007)
Has anyone else had this problem and were you able to resolve it? Is it a known issue with a documented workaround?
