outlook 2003 - loosing attachments

One of the users complains, that she looses mail attachments from time to time.

She receives mail with attachment and try to open it. It fails. Then she closes the mesage window and opens it again.

The attachment is not present there any more. When the sender resend the message, everything is as it should be...

What would be the problem?

I'd examine the failing message and the successful message with omcontain to see if they are really the same message.

If not, something is getting broken during sending or transport, and you'll need to track that down.
If they are the same, then the problem is with the client's ability to display the message and you can focus on that.

Notification service was down. Is this somehow connected with this?
