Hi,
after I migrated my full archive of old mails into a newly installed Scalix server, I noticed that some of the From fields are looking rather strange. The problem is isolated to Outlook Connector -- everything is looking fine both in SWA and via POP/IMAP client (e.g. Thunderbird or even the very same Outlook accessing the very same mails over IMAP).
The problem manifests itself when the mail has some non-ascii characters in From field that are RFC-2047-encoded.
Example:
In mail (original mbox, as well as the message as accessible via POP/IMAP)
From: =?iso-8859-2?Q?Ja=F1czak_Hubert?= <email@address>
In Thunderbird rendered (correctly) as:
From: Jańczak Hubert
In Outlook visible (incorrectly) as:
=?iso-8859-2?Q?Ja=F1czak_Hub [=?iso-8859-2?Q?Ja=F1czak_Hubert?= <email@address>]
Is it a known problem? Is there a workaround? While it's not a showstopper, it's putting some bad feeling into a decision to pick Scalix over Zimbra...
Cheers,
A.
