Vista *on a domain* + Scalix Connect 11.2 + Outlook 2003

Postby konman » Fri Mar 13, 2009 12:46 am

Hi all - still on Community version 11.2 - will be paying very soon to update.

Got a permission issue in Vista with Attachments

Before the Active Directory Domain was set everything was fine...

...now, when anyone tries to save an attachement, is says that you dont have a permission to save the file at that location (on the desktop...)

... Ive been search the forums, but havent come across a solution...

...any suggestions ??

Cheers,
KonMan.

Sounds like a permissions thing with the PC, not the client.

It's definitely a vista issue, not Scalix. Google for "vista you dont have permission to save at that location desktop" and check out the numerous posts from unhappy vista users regarding this sort of behaviour in numerous programs. There are some answers in the first page of links, not sure which one of them will apply to you're situation though. Good luck!

Thanks for the tips guys - I have coplete faith in Scalix Connect as it has been working fine on Vista before the 9 laptops were put on a Windows domain.
