Hi wereck,

What you posted is the out of office rule created by outlook. Are you saying that the out of office rule isn't working or were there other rules configured that are no longer working? If there were other rules they are now gone from the 000003d file.

Regards,
Don

Yes the out of office rule does not work. Can you see the error in the file?

** Warning - Insufficient fields present (Record No. 1)

When I delete the 000003d file and only make rule they are working, but when i make a out of office rule nothing works.

Hi wereck,

Yes, I saw the warning and that struck me as odd so I created an Out of Office rule through Outlook and the rule worked for me. I also created the rule through the SWA rules wizard. It also contained the warning but again it worked for me. Can you try creating the rule through the SWA rules wizard?

Thanks,
Don

Hi wereck,

I should have mentioned by now that the Local Delivery service keeps track of who it has sent the out of office message to. By default the message will be sent to each user that sends you a message once a day.

This can be configured in the SAC under Settings/server/Mail/Out of Office settings. If you've set this an entry is made in

/var/opt/scalix/sys/general.cfg

LD_AUTOREPLY_EXPIRY_TIME=x

where x is the number of days. There is a bug and the entry is added as =xd. The d needs to be removed for this field to be read properly and for out of office rules to behave as expected.

If you don't have that entry and want to verify that your out of office rules are working you can add

LD_AUTOREPLY_CHECK_ON=FALSE

to the general.cfg file. This will generate an out of office message to be generated for every message you receive regardless of whether or not the sender has already received an out of office message. If you make this change to your general.cfg file you may have to restart Local Delivery.

Best wishes,
Don

Whew, glad it's working. Sorry I forgot about Local Delivery keeping track of who an ooo message has been sent to.

Happy New Year to you too!
