Rules Wizard

Postby jhamill » Mon Dec 19, 2005 5:15 pm

I have a question about rules wizard. Why does a rule which looks for something in the message header say that it's client side only?

I've defined a rule for incoming messages with X-Spam: Yes in the message header, move it to /inbox/misc/spam.

We have a front end spam processor and it tags all the messages on the way through.

is there a way to force this to be processed on the server?

Hi. If you create the rule using the web-based Rules Wizard, it will process on the server. To access the web-based Rules Wizard use the URL:

http://scalix-server/Scalix/rw

where scalix-server is your Scalix server. Create the rule using the Condition(s) "Message Header Contains".

Thanks,
Rachel

thanks - I did use the web based wizard and it was OK, but I was wondering why the outlook rules wizard said it was a client side rule. is this a "feature"?

Alas it is a bug, but the good news is that it is fixed in the next release.

Cheers,
