Address Book Lookups - Strange Behavior

Postby R1200GS » Thu Dec 15, 2005 12:27 pm

Hi!

Using Outlook 2000; when a user creates a new message, clicks the "To:" button to search the address list and enters an "S" or an "I" the search reveals nothing. If they add an additional letter (e.g. "St" or "Iv") the search functions normally.

Thoughts??

It seems the little things add up to continual complaints. The user community is accustom to Exchange so this is becoming a hard sell...

Thanks!

Odd. It works fine for me, although this is probably no consolidation for you. How many users to you have starting with "s" or "l"? Is your directory > 1000ths of entries?

You can enable MAPI debugging for the directory lookups and send that to support - I'd be glad to look at it.

Cheers,

Sascha.
