Scalix Offline Function doesn´t work since Server was down

Postby manfredh » Fri Dec 02, 2005 5:13 am

Last night our Scalix Server is shutting down for administrative work. Some user which working online from home at this time have now problems with their notebooks. The "Scalix Offline working extension" seems not working. There is no chance to sync the Mails. In Outlook2003/Extras there are no Menu Buttons to change Offline Function or to sync the Messages. The checkbox in "Scalix Offline working Extension" is active.
As mentioned before some user have this problem. And all user was online at this time the server is going down. My only solution now is to create a new profile, but this is not a recommened solution for us...

Have anyone a hint to solve this problem?

Hello,

Are there any other Scalix extensions missing other than the offline working extentions? These users had offline working enabled when this happened, correct?

Try disabling (the checkbox) in "Scalix Offline working Extension" log out of Outlook, then log in again. If the menu extensions are not there, enable "Scalix Offline working Extension" again.

What version of Scalix Connect are you using?

Hi,

In OL, go to Tools > Other > Advanced Options > Add-in Manager and verify that all the Scalix extensions are selected (enabled). If they are, you might want to try disabling the Offline extension and logging out/in again (this is the equivalent to "jiggling the cord").

Also, make sure that there are no 3rd-party plugins installed in OL.

Let me know if this works out,

Hi Matthew!

Thanks for your answer!

All Scalix Extensions are enabled. We doesn´t use other 3rd-party Plugins. I disabled and re-enabled the checkboxes for Scalix extensions - it doesnt work. The Scalix Connect Version is 9.4.2.6. I tryed many things but the only solution is to create a new Windows User Profile. The information that was "corrupt" is stored in the ntuser.dat - the HKEY_CURRENT_USER Registry Settings. When i copied this file in the new working profile, the same problem appears.
The notebook is owned by our big boss and i had no more time to check this problem. If the problem is again i will post it here again.
