Delegation Tabs missing

Postby mephisto » Wed Nov 23, 2005 10:40 am

Hi,

I have Scalix 9.2.2 eval. running and installed the connector using Outlook 2003. The connection is working fine, but when I tried to use the delegation function I ran into problems. The properties windows for the calendar folder only has the tabs general, homepage and autoarchive. The delegates tab under tools/options is missing, too.
What seems to be the problem here?

Regards,

Frederik

Hi Mephisto,

As strange as this may sound this is typically a problem with your DNS configuration. Your workstation must be able to resolve the fully qualified doman name (FQDN) for your Scalix server(s). What happens when you try to ping the FQDN of your server?

Don

You mean reverse lookups? Hmm, could be an error there, I have the wrong lookup address for the servers IP. I'll check tomorrow.

I realize that I may have lead you down the wrong track. Also try checking the following...

First, in Outlook Help/About Microsoft Office Outlook select the Disabled Items button and make sure that delegate access isn't in there. If it is enable it.

If that doesn't solve it check Tools/Options/Other/Advanced Options/Add-in Manager and make sure Scalix Delegates Extension is checked.

If that still doesn't work try unchecking all Scalix Extensions, exiting Outlook, launch Outlook, recheck all extensions, exit and launch again and you should be working.

Best wishes,
Don

Seems a restart both on my client as on the server side solved the problem.
