Sent items without outgoing date

Hi all,

i have another issue regarding sent items. I have a delegated user with rights to open his boss mailbox. Scalix server version 9.2.0 and RedHat ES 3.0.

When this delegated user sents e-mail as hmself, the sent items folder displays the sent e-mail without the outgoing date. But this occurs only 4 to 5 days later. Initially the folder displays the correct sent date of the e-mail. This occurs to approx. 30% of the emails sent. The user feels insecure if he sent or not the e-mail, and when his boss asks when the e-mail was sent, he can't give him an exact answer.

Any answer to this issue will be welcome.

Is this user using any sort of PDA and synching with this mailbox?

Hi Don,

you´re right, there is Microsoft ActiveSync installed on this computer and the PDA is on the craddle all day long.

We've encountered this issue before with ActiveSync. It looks like we have a fix for this due out Q1 2006.

Hi

We have had this issue for some time now. We found a workaround whereby we create a subfolder off the "Sent Items". If you move the items with no date here then Voila

Hi Mike,

i created an sub-folder of folder Sent Items and moved one e-mail with no sent date. At first i thought it worked, because a date field presented an sent date. But, as i looked the date field it turned out to be an Received date. Then i unhide the Sent date and it again presented a null date.

Sorry, but this trick didn't helped. We must wait an Scalix Mapi Connector update to have this issue resolved.

Sorry. I have put yuo wrong. This always seed to work for me. However I have researched this further now and have found out , as you pointed out that the sent date/time is the same as the recieved date/time. Sorry for the inconvieience but I hope this helps us work around a difficult situation.
