One thing that I'm really missing from my days connected to an MSX server is the local caching of attachments, even in online mode.
I've noticed on Scalix Connect that messages w/ attachments take some time to open (in new window or in preview pane). The larger the attachment, the longer it takes. Even worse, if I move off the message w/ the attachment and back on, it does it again... Of course Outlook is completely blocked at that point and I have to wait for the entire message to be downloaded again.
Will the (hopefully) soon to be released version of Scalix Connect take advantage of some sort of caching mechanism for online users (I believe outlook+MSX uses .ost file stores for this)? Will it be multi-threaded to prevent the 'blocking' we're currently seeing?
Thanks, Ben
