Scalix and Cyrus on one machine

Hi folks,

maybe this is going to be a pretty weird question, but : Is there any way to have both Cyrus and Scalix on one machine ?

We already have several machines working with Cyrus and we're pretty used to the way how Cyrus stores Mails on the filesystem.
Compared to this, the way Scalix stores the Mails is more than confusing and leaves a kind of "dangerous taste" in my mouth when thinking about a possible crash or rebuilding a machine with a backup.

On the other hand Scalix ist THE perfect Groupware concerning Look and Feel.

So I'd like to get best parts of Scalix AND Cyrus. Do you habe any hints about Scalix using a Cyrus IMAP Server instead of his own ???

Thank you very much !

Greeting, Dirk

Late last year I was in exactly the same situation you are now . I can tell you it won't be possible to use any other storage architecture with scalix. You have to use their way or the highway. There are some advantages, in fact very similar to cyrus, but the disadvantages are much greater, because you simply can't interact directly with the scalix storage system. You have to use scripts and exclusive scalix command line tools to do that.
