Hi all,

not sure if I've been somehow used as a relay or what happened.

I just realized that the internet mail gateway service had aborted. Upon starting it (took four tries and a reboot) I see that I have 11,000 messages queued. I can't imagine having that many outgoing messages queued as this is a 20 user server.

I believe my server is properly hardened, from relaying although I opened ports to support external connectivity using the scalix connector for outlook a few days back.

Any advice on how should I approach this problem?

If you look at /var/log/mail.info (or maillog), are the messages being sent to legitimate recipients?
