Forwarding / Redirecting all mail from an internet domain

Postby KenGreen » Thu Jul 09, 2009 7:18 am

I would like to be able to have all the mail sent to me from a specific Internet domain also sent to another eMail address which my phone can easily monitor.

Using the unixmap.gw file I can specify that the emails should come in through a specific Unix gateway.

What I was having trouble with were the rules. What I would like to do is have the mail come into my Scalix inbox, for main email client, but also be redirected to the remote address. Using forward as an option sends the message to both, but does so as an attachment.

Now years ago I used to teach the OpenMail internals classes for the team at HP and I seem to remember there being two options for forwarding. Unfortunately I threw out all my old OTNs early last year.

Also using the webmail client I couldn't see how to write the rule to apply to a mail node, nor could I remember enough about the format of the TF file options used in the 000003d file for the auto actions to filter based on two OUs.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Cheers
Ken

You're looking for a Redirect rule instead of a Forward rule.

Sorry Mick,
I got side tracked and didn't check back here so I've only just seen your message. Unfortunately I didn't get your PM.

Cheers
Ken
