api - questions

we like to add and delete contacts with api-services in public folders/contacts.
To start I deleted (php-script) all contacts in this folder - the search http://server/api/user@domain/search/ma ... ?q=surname still brings the deleted contacts; sxmkindex didn´t change that?
Can we expand the search for example make the field "direct_ref" searchable (as "filename" shown in DAV)?
