API support for Out-Of-Office?

Postby thecowster » Tue Mar 04, 2008 6:51 am

We're integrating all our intranet resources, and are looking to automate some Out of Office notifications for people who are off sick: When an employee is registered as being "off sick" in the HR system. the HR system can call a third party url. Can we use the Scalix API to create an OOO rule?

Alternately, is there a Scalix shell command with which we can create an OOO rule (we would then create our own web service wrapper that executes this command)

Cheers

I found the shell command sxaa. This seems to be the thing I need.

But I did notice in the API documentation the following two codes, which would suggest its also possible to do this via the API?

M00003 Could not set out-of-office settings
M00004 Could not get out-of-office settings

PS: The man page for sxaa gives an invalid example "sxaa --user "Sam Orr" --reply --text replyText.txt", which always complains about the presence of the --text parameter.
