Scalix smtpd authentication

Hi there,

The last 1,5 year we used Scalix smtpd to receive email for our local domains. Now we all have mobile devices on which we read email via IMAP. The thing we can't do right now is sending emails. So I thought mayby it is possible to relay mail via Scalix smtpd when people autenticate themeself. Of course we still like to receive mail for our local domains without authentication.

After spending an evening on the forum, I just realized that the what we want is standard behavior of the Scalix smtp daemon.

The thing that made me realize this was a post about SWA having to authenticate itself each time it wants to send mail. So authenticating at the smtp daemon from the internet with your account username and password works out of the box.
