rewriting / masquerading local domains

Postby toni31 » Thu Jul 17, 2008 5:24 am

hi,

i have configured a fallback user, which catches all mail for unknown@foobar.de

i get some mail from internal machines into fallback instead of the admin-mailaccount where the recipient is root@mail.foobar.de. theres a mail alias of root@foobar.de for the admin-mailaccount.
1. does mail.foobar.de is treated in the same way as foobar.de?
When yes, i need to rewrite mail.foobar.de into foobar.de. I tried it with editing the genericstable, but there was no effect.
2. whats the easiest way to sort out known e-mailadresses? mail to former employees should be deleted directly. additional mails with an attachment bigger than 10mb should be deleted, but my known users should have max. 30mb attachment.

any ideas
Thank
Flep

From some linux machines thwere are root mails, which are dropped in fallback(catchall) fo no reason. i checked the recipient adress
