Hi all,

I am trying to create a folder with the command "authnc".

The first problem is that I cannot log-in.

This is the code:

authnc --authid "mboxadmin:user1:user1" \
--secret "password" \
localhost imap <<-EOF
1 logout
EOF

Here is the error:
0 NO AUTHENTICATE failure, user name or password rejected

Note: user1 has mboxadmin capabilities.
with user1/password I can log into SWA and SAC

The second problem will be: what is the command to create a folder ?

Thanks for any help. Miche

Could your syntacs be wrong? The help on authnc says --userid=username but you have --userid"username". PLus the description for this says "Test SASL authentication to Host using Protocol" doesn't say anything about creating folders.

What sort of folders are you trying to create? What are the folders for? If public folders or bulletin boards then you need omaddbb, do a man on this and when reading this think "bulletin board" = Public Folder.

I would rather write a perl script that connects via IMAP to achieve this. Search the forum for spam filtering - there's a few perl scripts that use IMAP to read and delete folder messages.
