Hi. We have tried to migratie a Scalix from Version 10.0.1.26 to 11.2.0-GA.
On both Systems we are using SUSE LINUX Enterprise Server 9 (i586).
All i did is i copied /var/opt/scalix/ from the live system to the new setup Server and ran the
11.2.0-GA installer. So far so good. The Webmail is working but i have troubles with the SAC.
I can add users but not remove the users or change the status from Normal to Premium User nor can i change the Email Adress.

I get these errors (with omshowlog):

I also noticed that when i do a /etc/init.d/scalix status everything looks good but:

lsof -n -i :smtp shows:

I hope somebody knows the root of this Problem and could help me because we
really wanted to migrate the System this weekend.

do you have any errors in the ~logs/ftlvis.log?

What happens if you search for an entry?
omsearch -e s=<surname>

And if you do that in the userlist directory?

omsearch -d userlist -t h -e s=<surname>

Thank you for the fast response.

With both omsearch commands i find the Users i expect to be on the System.
Do you need some specific line from the Users or is it just a test to see if the Users
are in the System?

The Log you named is empty.

# file /var/opt/scalix/ml/s/logs/ftlvis.log
/var/opt/scalix/ml/s/logs/ftlvis.log: empty

No luck this way, as it seems?

Hi,

have you run an omcheck?

omcheck -i -d

just to check component and file permissions. It may take a little while to run.

i did so.. but with pipeing it into a bash script and then executing that one.. but
i still see some things, like:

Filename: /var/opt/scalix/ml/s/sys/general.cfg ( Scalix OM-CORE )
Mode is 664 (-rw-rw-r--) should be 444 (-r--r--r--)

Now checking component OM-LDAP
Filename: /var/opt/scalix/ml/s/Copyright/OM-LDAP ( )
/var/opt/scalix/ml/s/Copyright/OM-LDAP: No such file or directory

and also a few corrections under

OM-USERGFILES

..

so i restarted scalix after it finished but still no effect, same errors, same symptoms. :roll:

Hi,

and after running the script to correct the file permissions, you run the omcheck again and the file permissions are OK?
try increasing the event log level for admin (omconflvl admin 11) and run an ommodu to see what is dumped in the event log (omshowlog -s admin -l 11 -p 10)

mmmm....can you stop and restart services? I have not seen that licence error before (although it may be nothing to worry about, as its only a report).

Have you tried removing the "lck" file in that "g" directory and trying to ommodu again?
What are the permissions/ownership on the .lck file?
