Do anyone know why would the local delivery queue would be using 53% of system memory is that normal??

I'm running scalix 11.2.0 on a poweredge sc1420 with 4gig of ram I have 15 users on the server with a 15gig mailstore

Let me know what you all think

Thanks

Tim

That seems ... excessive. Are you sure it's the Local Delivery service (a ps ax will show it as local.delivery). Can you post the output of top (sorted my mem usage) as well as see if there's anything in your Scalix logs?

Valerion, Thanks for the reply..

I had already restarted the services for scalix before seeing your reply. so now for the past 1hr or so the local.delivery process is only using 2.3% of system memory when it spikes up again I will post it for you.

Thanks

Tim

Valerion,

My server didn't hit 53% again but it did hit 31% on the local.delivery

[root@mailserver ~]# ps aux | grep -i 'local.delivery'

scalix 3514 0.0 31.3 1295596 1280408 ? SNs Nov28 0:58 local.delivery

Tim,

any huge PDLs? Can you see what it was doing at the time it hit 31% in the audit log? Any errors in the fatal log at that time?
