nagios problems

I tried adding the scalix plugins to nagios but after i type in the references for the scalix plugin config files in nagios.cfg, nagios won't start. Can anyone help me?

Can you post the errors nagios is giving from the log files? That will help find the problem.

Also doing a "nagios -v /etc/nagios/nagios.cfg" will spit out errors and help examine the issues.

that command didn't do anything said bash: nagios : command not found

Nagios is running and I can log in; I can't find the log file anywhere :\

after I add the following in nagios.cfg:

#Scalix Plugin Configuration Files
cfg_files=/etc/nagios/scalix/checkcommands.cfg
etc
etc
etc

I go to run scalix and this is showing:
No Lock File found in /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.lock

now when I remove the plugin configuration links to the plugins nagios starts

Then i go to that nagios/var and the lock file appears, I tried copying that and then adding it after adding the link to config files for scalix plugins and nothin
