Maillog Problem

Hi There,

I'm trying to set up POP before SMTP for Postfix but the problem is that this application monitors the maillog file for people who have logged in in the last 30 minutes and puts them in a permitted list.

The problem is that Scalix doesn't log logins / logouts to the maillog. Is there a way i can get this to happen?

Thanks and regards,

Ken

You realise Scalix does smtp auth out of the box?

Yes sir but not with Postfix... It has to be set up separately with SASL which doesn't seem to work for anyone on this forum who uses it with Postfix.

I see in the Administration guide that i need to set:

POP3_RECORD_EMPTY_SIGNON= TRUE

But it doesn't tell me where to change it!

At the top of the tables in the guide it lists the files you will need to edit. I think for POP server options you need to change the general.cfg file located in /scalix/sys directory.

Hi Techsharp!

Thanks for the advice. I stuck that option in that file but it doesn't seem that the users are being logged still.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!
