The most practical application of this is when setting up permissions. You can do it by mailnode without needing to specify each individual user.
A side-benefit is, if you decide you want to add another Scalix server to your network and you want to move all the users on one mailnode to the new machine, you can do it without needing to change any addresses.

But how can we migrate all the users from one mailnode to another (does it require any directory synchronization).ScalixSupport wrote:Mailnodes are just a way of logically grouping users on the same machine.

Are you talking about moving them from one Scalix mailnode on the same machine or to a physically different host? If the latter, omcpoutu is used to export, omcpinu to import.
You can rename the user to change the mailnode.

Sascha.

omcpoutu and omcpinu commands are used to copy the message store to a file and from a file to message store.
Can we use same procedure to migrate all the users from one mailnode Ex:webmail, node on one server to Ex:scalix, community mailnode on another server?
