How can i forbid scalix to send mail?

Hi Community,

we use scalix in the version 10.0.1.5 as an mailarchive. On this machine is only one user active, named "catchall" which gets all messages to and from our company as bcc. This user fills the mailarchive and at the same time he deletes this messages from the inbox.

And problem is:
when a sender sends a message with "reading confirmation" he gets back the "Delivery/Disposition Notification":

Your message

To: catchall@company.de

was deleted without being read on 10/19/07 at 12:39

Any idea how i can forbid this, without filling tons of logs with errors???

PS: Sorry for my bad english. But i think you will understand my problem...

Greets,

hartkorn

Hi,

I'm using SWA.

Now my solution was to stop the complete sendmal service. But this is not what i wanted to do...

Have a look at the Delivery Rulesets on page 136 in the Admin guide. You can selectively allow message through or not using this. And even discard them, if you want.

SWA sends read receipts (including when the message is deleted without reading) without any prior notice. You can use Outlook which has a configuration for read reciepts in Tools -> Options -> Email Options -> Tracking Options... or you can figure out a way to do it in SWA.

In SWA you can change read receipt settings (look in swa.properties for swa.user.autoAcknowledgeReadReceipts and swa.allusers.forceReadReceipts).

In Outlook the setting to prompt for read receipts only work for IMAP and POP3 accounts, not for MAPI accounts using the Scalix connector.
