would this work

HI, I am new to this, so please be patient. We at the moment use MDaemon, have a primary and a secondary domains and collect mail from 2 separate catchall isp accounts, all mail goes out through one smarthost.
Now the questions, will Scalix operate like the above? I believe that Fetchmail would collect the mail but will Scalix work with two different domains?
Would Scalix recognise user1@domain.com and user1@differentdomian.co.uk as being different email addresses whilst being the same person?
Sorry if I am asking questions that have been asked before, but I have searched the forum but cannot seem to find the answers I require, perhaps I do not know what to search for

Thanks
Rowland

to my knowledge it sure does.

There is a primary domain usually set, but it can handle several domains. I know it handles at least 6 base domains for us. Our .com is our normal, but it can handle our .org, .net, and our subsidiary sites for some of our products as well.

It seems to handle just fine.

We get all of our mail directed through our ISP to a dual set of smarthost machines that do our spam/virus filtering and then from those to Scalix, and from Scalix to the Smarthost through the ISP to the world. Things work wonderfully. I have encountered a few things (needed to manually make myself a filter rule on our smarthosts to stop Out of Office replies to the 'Net) but mostly they are just configuration things and easily fixed once you know where/how.
