email retention

Hello,

Does anyone have an recommendation regarding email archive software? Before I started using scalix I just used a postfix function to bbc all email to another email account which used a messy procmail script to sort itself out. I tried to get the scalix archive software to send email to the account, but I could not get it to work. I could get the session started but I could not figure out how to direct the session to the proper account. Thanks for any ideas!

Hi Ed,

There is a undocumented feature to achive using the same method you were using before. You would add:

archive=bcc:name@domain.com

in your in /var/opt/scalix/sys/general.cfg file, then restart the archive server by typing:

omoff -d0 archiver
omon archiver

Now, any mail sent from a Scalix user, whether internal or external, will automatically get bcc'ed to name@domain.com.

Thanks,
Rachel

thanks!

How about if I want to archive the incoming emails whether they are from internal or external senders?

Thank you
