Deleted imap account

I have a user who changed form imap to POP3, deleted is IMAP account in Outlook 2003, now can find his inbox with all his emails, has this been deleted, can it be rcovered ?

If he changed from IMAP to POP3 the client requested the server to delete the messages, as it is stored locally. It is possible to ask the server to retain messages, but most do not do that by default. If he deleted the local mailstore on the client PC, then your only option is to restore from a backup onto another server and recover that way.
