Migration from Qmail/Squirrelmail

Postby MDoering » Sun Dec 04, 2005 9:09 pm

I am wondering if there is any way to copy messages from our old mail server(with QMail and SquirrelMail) to the accounts on the new scalix system. If anyone has done this, or knows how, please let me know. Sorry to sound like a newbie if it's a simple fix. As with any of my posts, I have tried searching through both the knowledgebase and the forums to see if this subject has been touched upon before, and came up empty. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi,

I am assuming there is some IMAP server involved here as well ;-) A migration tool that has worked for me personally is http://freshmeat.net/projects/imapsync/

Cheers,

Sascha.

I'll second imapsync. Worrked well for our migration to scalx for our openwebmail users. It should be noted however that it is on a per user basis rather than systemwide which might be a limitation for you

Thank You

Thank you both for your replies. That program should work as I am only running the system with about 8 users right now, so the per user basis shouldn't be a limitation. I really appreciate all the support that is provided by this community, thank you all for your help. -Mark
