Hi,

As mentioned in the following post --> "http://www.scalix.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4121" the source code for Scalix Server & Scalix Management Services were supposed to have been released by Q1, 2007. As of now the Source Code available for download under Community edition still not have these components.

Can anyone please confirm if the source package for these components (Scalix Server & Server Management Service) have been already released & provide link for the same or please let me know if they will be available for download anytime in future ?

Thanks,
Somnath.

Hi Somnath,

the source code for Scalix Management services has been released in 2006. The server source code is not yet released as of now, as a) code cleanup is still ongoing - we found some further 3rd party components that we need to replace first and b) through the Xandros acquisition, some of our internal target dates have slipped. We are still planning to release the server source, however, I can't give you a precise date at this time.

Hi Florian,

Thanks for the info. However can anyone of you please tell me if the Scalix Server binaries for s390 (IBM Mainframe) for older versions like Scalix 9 still available ? Is there any site having the older scalix server binaries archived ? If yes it will be great if any of you could provide the link ?

Thanks in advance,

Somnath.

Hi Somnath,

you might want to contact me directly via PM or email to discuss your needs. The last version of Scalix that was built for the zSeries was Scalix 10, although we might revive that project sometime in the future or possibly start supporting PowerPC-based iSeries/pSeries.

Community Edition was never officially available for the Z, so it was never a free download.

However, if you let me understand what your rationale of wanting to run Scalix on s390 is, maybe I can do something for you.

My email address shoud be well-known on this forum, otherwise it's florian -attt- scalix -doT.t- commmm.

Cheers,
Florian.
