SMTP Auth failing with unknown error

Augh! SMTP auth isnt working. Here's a transcript for a test user I ran through telnet.

There's nothing in the smtp gateway log (log level is set to all messages).

I enabled the debug option in smtpd.cfg, the resultant log wasnt much help.

The faliure is different when authenticating a user against AD:

Amazingly, using authnc works using the same data, but I cannot complete a session using Outlook, Thunderbird or Telnet.

This was actually caused by stunnel binding to 127.0.0.1:25 (sendmail) instead of 192.168.228.201:25 (omsmtpd)
