serious problems with ldapmapper and omslapd

I'm having problems with Scalix 11.1.0 and ldap.

Lots of messages from ldapmapper:
cannot send search request to instance linux: Can't contact LDAP server
..and can't send mail, getting:
error getting LDAP results in map ldapsx: Unknown error 325

omslapd is running, ldapmapper is running (I know sometimes it crashes). Nothing in the fatal log. I tried restarting everything. I even went through changing the ldap port just in case but I'm still having problems and can't send mail.

How do I chase this one down? Can I test omslapd manually?

I found out why I was having LDAP problems. omslapd was only binding to one of my four IP addresses and ldapmapper was obviously asking on another.

Changing the LDAPMAPPER_OPTIONS to -L ldap://127.0.0.1:3890 and explicitly giving localhost works just fine.

Hopefully this will help the next person who has problems.

i have the same problem here....


changed /etc/sysconfig/ldapmapper
options
to "-L ldap://127.0.0.1:3890 , 192.168.66.1 and %s

nothing changed the situation


edit: fixed by changing the smarthost //no comment
