sxmkindex crashes

Postby uwe-beach » Wed Aug 22, 2007 5:34 am

Hi,

running

sxmkindex -r 00:00:00

shows

sxadmin /scalixserver: 7
sxqueryadmin /scalixserver: 0
Uwe Wagner /scalixserver:

There is no summary message and the other users are not shown.

The output from omshowlog is :

SERIOUS ERROR Administration(Scalix Admin C) 08.22.07 11:23:31

I've tried to stop scalix, delete all files in /var/opt/scalix/sr/s/indexwork and start scalix again as described in another post.

I'm using scalix 11.1.0.45 on SuSE 10.1.

Any idea what's wrong ?

Hi Uwe -

Something you could try:

Find the user whose sxmkindex fails, go into the Admin Console, and disable SIS Indexing, commit the change, then re-enable SIS indexing and commit. After that you should be able to get

sxmkindex -r 0

to run. Maybe it stops at another user... repeat untl you get a clean run.

Also, if you upgraded from v11.0.x take a look at this TechNote about dropping and re-creating the Platform database that SIS uses. I did this when updating to v11.0.4 and SIS seems to act much better than before.

Hi,

at server startup or by running sxmkindex -r 0 from console, i get the following error:

For the users mailboxes i´ve solved this by disabling and re-enable SIS. But now sxmkindex crashes at Bulletin Boards.

I´ve located a directory named BB@<Server FQDN> in /var/opt/scalix/??/indexes/. Is this for Bulletin Boards?
Can I delete this folder and recreate the index?

Scalix 11.2 on CentOS 5.1
