Anyone know what this means and what I can do to get rid of it? It's what come out when I run:

Code: Select all

management:/data/scalix/mt/s/logs # sxpamauth -vvv ptuite
pam_start_om("pamcheck", "ptuite")
pam_authenticate()
om_auth: authenticate:
    nullok: no
    recordbad: yes
Scalix password:
om_auth: save non-empty password in PAM_AUTHTOK
om_auth: bad password limit reached (24 >= 4)
om_auth: Have exhasted maximum number of retries for service.
LDAP Password:
pam_acct_mgmt()
om_auth: acct_mgmt
    max_age=-1
    exclude=<default>
    nocheck=<default>
    expiry

Authenticated

I'm not able to log into the Webmail or Pop server anymore, and I'm sure this has something to do with it. I'm using OpenLDAP for the password so it should pass on from the Scalix authentication pam module to the ldap pam module, but I've a feeling that particular line is causing it not to.

Because it's the om_auth module returning the error, you should check the settings for Passwords in the Admin Console by clicking the "Settings" icon followed by the server name. The Password tab is the third one.

Alternatively, you can run the command:

Code: Select all

omshowpd

For the problem user, what does

Code: Select all

omshowu -n "User Name"
show you ?

Cheers
