What is the best safest way to upgrade this, I have my current ver working fine, but would like to get the addational lics.
Could I just kill shutdown my services and run the new version, will it upgrade and keep my data ?

Hi David,

First take a quick read through the upgrade section of the Installation Guide, it will provide details on which files get overwritten, some of which you may have customized, such as your partner.xml. Then use the Scalix installer to do the upgrade. It will automatically shutdown the services (including tomcat), do the upgrade and bring everything right back up for you. Your data will be kept intact. However, if you're at all worried about it, make sure you do a full backup before upgrading.
