Hi there,

My 11.0.3 scalix server is dead. I have a full backup of /var/opt/scalix ready for recovery. But since I don't have a copy of the 11.0.3 distribution, I will have to try to install 11.0.4 and recover the 11.0.3 files. Any chance this is going to work?

Should work fine.

1) Create the Scalix user and group (you can get info off an existing box)
2) Copy and extract the mailstore
3) Go in the mailstore dir and make sure the ownerships and permissions look right (almost everything should be owned by scalix:scalix)
4) If you want to be sure there's no issues, In /var/opt/scalix/?? delete everything EXCEPT for s (the mailstore). This is not required, if the data files are consistent here.
5) Install Scalix as per normal.

Why don't you go to 11.1.0 while you're busy re-doing it anyway?
