Multi domain

We have a server that is used for hosting purposes. Does Scalix support multi email domains and a way to login from one interface to all your domains like OpenWebMail does?

Also, maybe I know the answer already... but any MySQL support instead of PG?

And last, what will be the impact with the recent Xandros deal for the open source community version?

Regards,

Paul

Hi,

to answerr your first question:

Yes, Scalix supports multiple Domains and a single point of login. I am running this setup on my machine with about 40 domains.

There are two ways of using multiple domains.

1. You can just add multiple domains to one server and then the users can login with the full email address. The drawback is, that for the whole system you will have only ONE public address book and also the public folders exist only once. But this solution is also part of the community edition.

2. You can install multiple instances of Scalix on one box. This requires a IP address per instance and also the enterprice license. But these instances are then realy separated, they have their own public addressbook, folders etc.

Depending on your needs, you have to choose what matches your requirements.
