Keywords: outlook from mail send alias adresses

I made an account for a employee and now this one wants to
have a second mail onto his account.

so i made an user a.asdf@asdf.com

he can send and recieve (i fetchmail it) the mails

no he wants a second mail adress onto this account
so i made a rule which moves the second mails in an other account
an he can read his mails BUT heres the problem

i configured a second mail alias in the sac with asdf.asdf@asdf.com
but he cant send with this email if i write it into from field from outlook
or in the from field of the swa.

any idea how to solve the problem i didnt find any solution in the forum
so either no one has that problem or im to silly to do !

You can only send with an account's primary (first listed in SAC) email address. The others are only for incoming mails. This has been discussed before and is due to limitations in Outlook that Scalix cannot bypass, and SWA mirrors this behaviour, as they try to mimic Outlook as best as possible.

You can create two accounts, then use delegation to send from one on behalf of the other, that works fine.

Ok Valerion,
And if I just want to set up a reply to a different e-mail?
I have tested from the users' webmail, going to"Tools | Options | Reply to", but I can not edit the field... does somebody know why???

Thanks

In /var/opt/scalix/??/webmail/swa.properties, change

swa.allusers.allowFromReplyToModification=false

to

swa.allusers.allowFromReplyToModification=true

thanks Valerion,
It works perfect with SWA, any options to make the "reply to" work in outlook?

Unfortunately no way I know of in Outlook. Glad you got SWA working.
