I have a question about groups. I think these are basically aliases like in sendmail or postfix. I am wondering if there is a way to have the group name prepended to the subject line of the message that is sent to the group kinda like this:

[$group name] - $subject

Or if that isn't possible is there a way to have the messages come from $group_name@domain.com instead of the actual sender?

This would be a great help. If this isn't possible might someone point me to a third party app or plugin that could do this in some fashion that interfaces with Scalix.

Right now this is not possible in Scalix. You could do it with a sendmail milter for outgoing mail, but I don't know offhand of one that will accomplish this for you (if one exists). You may have to write that yourself. For internal mail I can't think of any solution for you.
