Scalix calendar and resources w/ external Mail Server

I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. I have an existing hosted mail server off site that I need to keep for now. Unfortunately, our mail hosting service does not offer shared calendars, resources, etc.. So, what I'd like to do is setup scalix locally (already installed community edition, working great) and have scalix handle the shared cals, etc, but for it to work with our existing mail server for sending the invites, etc... Any thoughts or ideas to get something like this going? Thanks,

Hi,

Which client are you using? If using Outlook with the connecter, you will have to use two profiles - one for thee external and one for the Scalix account.

The other thing you could do is to use fetchmail to periodicly pop mail from the user's mailboxes into Scalix.

Either way, set up the software using your live domain, and ensure Sendmail can send mail through a smart host or however you normally send mail. This way, meeting invights will be sent out through Scalix. I wouldn't want to run like this for too long though, as users will get annoyed.
