After upgrading to 11.1 The service takes a very long time to shut down. It takes a very long time to restart the service as well. I doget a message about setting a timeout for the service.

Is there away to fix this. It used to only take about 1 or 2 minutes for the service to shut down. 5 minutes is pushing it. or is this normal?

Hi.

I used to have this on 11.0.4, where we had UAL clients which did not shut down correctly. Running the command:

omshut -t 1

Timed out clients after 1 minute.

However. I upgraded to 11.1 a couple of weeks ago, and needed to reboot due to kernel upgrade last week. I ran this command, and got a shutdown almost straight away. This was surprising, as it was just after 17:30, and we have a lot more UAL clients now.

Startup has never been an issue for us - it takes around 2-3 seconds, I think.

Andrew.
