config changes with additional RAM

My additional 2GB RAM arrived, and I'll do the upgrade tonight.
I'm wondering if I would need to make an adjustment on any scalix config file to improve performance beyond what is expected normally from the kernel.

You may consider boosting your tomcat JVM size, otherwise things should work out fine by default.
