I have just spent hours resolving the issue of not being able to send email from my Scalix 11 server running on CentOS 5... all the while I was able to receive them.

Now... I can send email but I can't recieve any! I'm not getting an undeliverable back to any of my external accounts I'm using to test, and local delivery works fine. I haven't changed the routing situation any since I was able to receive email, so I don't think that's it.

I did set up a smart relay host in my sendmail.cf, which fixed my problem of not being able to send mail. That wouldn't have anything to do w/ receiving mail would it? I wouldn't think so... but then I'm not sure what listens for mail to be received...

Any help would be appreciated...

I figured it out. Amongst all the changes I made trying to get mail to go out (turned out to be I needed to setup a smart host), I had changed the smtpd.cfg file such that it was't recieving mail.

All is good... mail flowing both directions...
