Email time 7 minutes behind acutall time

Can anyone tell me what additional places i can search to help me solve this problem. The emails I am receiving show the time that I received them being 7 minutes behind the actuall time that I received them. I tried running hwclock on the server but it returns the correct time. My relay server said it was 2 hours behind but i updated that for the correct time. Still emails are arriving "late".

Thanks in Advance!

What does date return on both machines?

If they are in VMs, there is an issue with time clocks. Set a cron job to ntpdate the time every few minutes.

Best to use ntpdate.

ie. ntpdate clock.redhat.com or ntpdate pool.ntp.org

It will sync with a timeserver.
