Cannot send external email

Hi
Some users are having trouble sending external email, however replying to an email or sending to local users works fine. The is with Outlook and Evolution with the connector and as an IMAP.
Outlook user receives error 'Denied Due To Spam List' Smtpd.cfg is configured with domain names and IP addresses as we do not have reverse DNS configured for the main domain name.
The user in question works in America and even with the connector messages still fail. This is stopping him form performing his role.
Evolution user error;
Error while performing operation.
RCPT TO <someone@ntlworld.com> failed: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable
This user is in our Uk office and if they change to the old SMTP sever which runs sendmail mail is sent successfully.
