Email in Error queue - and other errors

Ok, I started searching for away to get rid of the message in the error queue. What I didn't know is all of the other error that I would stumble apon from a omshowlog.

i guess the first question is how do I delete a message out of the error queue?

The second is where to I go to start looking in to getting rid of error like:

There are many many other errors in the log. I guess I should put this into a daily or weekly routine. Any help would be great.

Hi!

To manage messages in queue, I would recommend you to use omqdump (password same
as omcontain, if you don't know the same search in forum) or use command omresub, refer
to man pages for details.

To get rid of the IMAP serious errors, refer to the steps in post below:

Note: ignore the change of IP address step in post above.

Ok I am having trouble with the omqdump tool.

Todays date is the 4th of June. So the pw would be A14E correct?

When I enter omqdump I loose my local echo with putty. Don't know why this is happening. guess I will try from the console.

**Edit: Same happens from the console. What am i missing. omqdump -s -p A14E. If i hit return then it terminates. Not sure what else to do. If I do a ctrl+C then I loose echo.

Would someone mind posting what i'm supposed to see when running omqdump -s -p A15E? I don't seem to be able to get anything other than the warning about it being an advanced tool and if I hit anything other than enter I loose local echo.

Also is there a way to troubleshoot or replace the tool so that i can get it working properly?

Even I experienced the same trouble, at your prompt type omqdump and press enter key,
type the relevant password and press enter key, you should get the tool menu now. Do not
run omqdump with command line options, I normally do not use them.

Thanks Subir. That worked like a charm.

Also I would like to note that the other problem with IMAP have been resolved as well. omshowmnmp showed scalix.kauffman.com so i cleared them out and rebuilt them with blackwidow.kauffman.com. All is well with the world of Scalix server once again.

ok I added the following line:

KSC5601             ISO8859_1

to the following files:

Code: Select all

/var/opt/scalix/bw/s/release.sys/mime.cs
/var/opt/scalix/bw/s/sys/mime.cs


I also restarted the scalix services

 service scalix stop; service scalix-tomcat restart; service scalix start

I figured i need to do this for any error i get about mime type?

Hi Mouseclone,

I have investigated the cause of the warnings from the shared memory daemon
and they are due to a bug which, strangely does not involve character set
conversions. You can safely ignore these warnings.

I would remove your change to mime.cs. KSC5601 is an internal legacy
Scalix charset for Korean which does not map well at all to the Latin charset
ISO8859_1
