duplicate user account

I have an account that was created that is a duplicate of another account. I'm not able to delete the accout from in the sac as it tells me "Could not delete *account*. Could not update the user as you are trying to set the user's name to an already existing name"

when I try to delete the account using omdelu it tells me "The name given is ambiguous"

when i use omdelent i get "Entry is not unique in the Directory"

how can i delete this user account

Hello souperdad,

did you already tried to restart the scalix server or the whole server? Sometimes this solves such problems.

yes I've rebooted a few times now

try using omdelu <system Login IDr> to get this do a omshowu -n <authID>

Can you get the result if you run the command:

omsearch -e "G=<firstname>/S=<lastname>" -m @all-attr@

You should get only one user's details in return. If you get the relevant result delete this
entry using the command:

Code: Select all

omdelent -e "G=<firstname>/S=<lastname>"

Note: <firstname> <lastname> in these commands is the firstname and lastname respectively
of the user in question.
