dear team,

my question is:
with the original ms outlook exchange 2003 i can set up any pop3 connectors for the single email accounts.

and i can setup the smtp server (where i can set the mail.MYSERVER.com)

scalix 11: can i connect to POP3 Mail Accounts, and automate import it?
can i send over an existing smtp server?

sorry for my english, ...

thanks kind regards mAx

I think for the pop3 part, you'll need Fetchmail.
Perhaps this helps: http://www.scalix.com/wiki/index.php?title=HowTos/Fetchmail

Sending all outgoing mail through another smtp server can be done by configuring a smarthost in Sendmail.
I have the following in my /etc/mail/sendmail.cf:

Code: Select all

DSsmtp.mycompany.nl

Hope this helps :)
